The Great Race 22 2002
2002 Bob Jane Bathurst 1000
Bathurst in 2002 promised to be one of the most intriguing Great Races in years. There were many stories in the leadup to the race, the most talk-about one being the return to Bathurst for only this race - none other than Peter Brock.
As was the case in 2001, the mountain threw all manner of weather conditions at the teams, and literally was rain, hail and shine!
This book is the 22nd annual edition of the famous endurance race at Mount Panorama Bathurst.

2001 The Great Race 21
In 2001, the Bathurst 1000 started to settle down again. The race came back to October, but one week after the traditional long weekend date, and the support races had some pretty exciting racing on the Saturday.
Mount Panorama threw its natural defences at the 39-car field this year. Milllons sat in front of television sets, warm, well-fed and almost unbelieving at the events unfolding as Brad Jones, who hadn't come anywhere close to winning a race all year, chased down Skaife's nearly-out-of-fuel Commodore during the dramatic final laps.
This year's race, with all of its trials and tribulations, proved that Mount Panorama is the power, and the power behind the Mountain is the V8 Supercar. That's exactly what this book is about, every year.
